Hi Susan, I am just curious to know what the story is or what inspired you for this piece?

This was done for the artbook Mugeno. I was told to produce a piece related to the theme "first", and somehow this came to me. A little girl was confined in her room to take her first violin class, while her friends were peaking outside, hoping that she could come out and play with them.

Since this was done so long ago, now that I look at it, I'm not pleased with the technical execution at all. If I have time, I'd like to fix quite a number of things.

Thanks for the reply! Oh..I know that feeling, and as artists I don't think we'll ever be satisfied with our works - there's just too many things to improve! but to us, *ehem* fans, this is a really good piece, especially with your use of colors, lighting and mood - it can be interpreted as the girl's friends shouting "ganbatte!" and rooting for her because she looks a bit nervous.
